Last updated: August 10, 2026
Use the Files tab in Knowledge Sources to upload and manage document-based content that can later be selected for Marketing Agents.
Before You Start
You need access to app.docketai.com.
Prepare the file content you want Docket to use as a knowledge source.
Confirm the file is approved for use in customer-facing agent conversations.
Open the Files Tab
Log in to app.docketai.com.
In the left navigation, open Knowledge Sources.
Open the Files tab.
The Files view includes Upload, Search for files, Suggested for You, All Files, and Ingestion Jobs.

Upload a File
Click Upload.
Select the file you want to add.
Follow the upload flow shown in the app.
After upload, review the file in the Files list.
Check Ingestion Jobs if the file does not appear ready immediately.
The current upload modal supports .pdf, .docx, .md, .xlsx, .html, .pptx, .xls, .mp4, .webm, .ogv, .mov, .qt, .mkv, .mpeg, and .mpg. Documents can be up to 150 MB and videos can be up to 1 GB.

Review Uploaded Files
The Files table helps you audit uploaded sources. The current view includes columns for:
Filename
Sources
Engagement
No. of References
Last Updated
Use Search for files to find a specific source before assigning it to an agent.
Use the File in an Agent
Uploading a file makes it available as a global knowledge source. To use it in an agent:
Open Marketing Agent Configuration.
Select the agent.
Open the Knowledge tab.
In Knowledge Base, click Sources.
Select the uploaded file if it is appropriate for that agent.
Verify the Uploaded File
Search for the file by its exact or shortened filename in Files.
Confirm the row shows the expected filename, source, and recent Last Updated value.
Check the row or current processing state before assigning it to an agent. If the item says On hold: Contact Support, resolve that state first.
Select the file for a test agent and ask a Preview question whose answer exists only in that file.
The upload is ready when the file is present in the global library and the test agent can answer the expected question from it.
Best Practices
Upload only approved and current content.
Use clear filenames so agent owners can identify the right source.
Remove or replace outdated files instead of leaving duplicates.
Review ingestion state before assigning a newly uploaded file to an agent.
Avoid uploading internal-only content unless the agent is explicitly intended to use it.
Troubleshooting
Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
Uploaded file is not visible | Check Ingestion Jobs and refresh the Files view. |
Agent cannot use the file | Confirm the file is selected in the agent's Knowledge tab. |
File search does not find the source | Confirm the filename and try a shorter keyword. |
Agent answers with old content | Replace the outdated file and update the agent's selected sources. |
