Configuring Slides for Marketing Agent Conversations
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Your Marketing Agent can present slides to visitors during conversations — turning a chat into a guided product walkthrough or pitch. This feature lets you curate high-impact presentation decks that the agent shares contextually based on the conversation flow.
This guide explains how to set up, manage, and optimize slides for your agent.
Prerequisites
Access to app.docketai.com
At least one agent created
Approved PDF or PPTX presentation content uploaded to Docket Knowledge Sources
A privacy review confirming that every deck is safe for visitor conversations
How Slides Work
When slides are enabled, the Marketing Agent can present individual slides from your uploaded decks during a conversation. The agent selects and shows relevant slides based on the visitor's questions and interests — it does not simply play through a deck from start to finish.
This means the agent acts like a knowledgeable presenter, pulling the right slide at the right moment to support its responses.
Setting Up Slides
Step 1: Upload Your Deck to Knowledge Sources
Go to your Docket account's Knowledge Sources settings.
Upload a supported PDF or PPTX file directly, or sync it through an available content integration.
Review the source's privacy label and content. Use External for visitor-approved material.
Important: Internal items can appear in the slide picker. Picker visibility does not mean the content is approved for visitor use.
Step 2: Enable Slides for Your Agent
Navigate to Marketing Agent Configuration in the left sidebar.
Select the agent you want to configure.
Click the Knowledge tab.
Find the Slides section.
Toggle the switch on (top-right of the Slides section).

Step 3: Add Slides to the Agent
Use Search slides to add into the content repository to find your uploaded decks.
The results table shows:
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Slides | Deck name with source or privacy context |
Source | Where the deck was uploaded from |
Last Updated | When the deck was last modified |
Click the Add Slide button next to each deck you want the agent to use.

The selected decks are now available for the agent to present during conversations.
Managing Slides
Removing a slide deck
To remove a deck from the agent, locate it in the added slides list and click the remove action. The agent will immediately stop using that deck in future conversations.
Disabling slides entirely
Toggle the Slides switch off to disable all slide presentations for this agent. The agent will no longer share any slides, but your deck selections are preserved — toggle it back on to restore them.
Choosing Which Slides to Add
Choose decks that help the agent explain, compare, or persuade during the conversation. A focused deck list usually works better than adding every available presentation.
Good slide candidates include:
Product overview decks for homepage or product-page agents.
Pricing, ROI, or packaging decks for pricing-page agents.
Architecture or security decks for technical buyer journeys.
Campaign-specific decks for campaign landing pages.
Avoid decks that are outdated, internal-only, too text-heavy, or unrelated to the page where the agent appears.
How the Agent Uses Slides
During a conversation, the agent:
Listens to the visitor's questions and interests.
Identifies relevant slides from the configured decks.
Presents individual slides at contextually appropriate moments.
Provides voice narration (in Voice & Text mode) or text descriptions (in Text Only mode) alongside each slide.
The agent can use selected slides when they are relevant to the conversation. Test the intended trigger questions in Preview before deployment.
Verify Slides in Preview
Confirm the Slides switch is on and the intended deck appears in the selected list.
Ask a Preview question that directly matches the deck's topic.
Confirm the agent shows content from the correct deck and does not expose internal-only material.
Ask an unrelated question and confirm the deck is not shown without a relevant reason.
The setup is ready when the expected deck appears for a relevant question and remains absent for an unrelated question.
Best Practices
Curate, don't dump. Add only your best, most relevant decks instead of a large library of loosely related presentations.
Use clear, visual slides. Slides with strong visuals, charts, and concise text work best in the widget format. Avoid text-heavy slides that are hard to read at small sizes.
Keep decks updated. If you update a deck in your Knowledge Sources, the agent will use the latest version automatically (for synced integrations). For uploaded files, re-upload the new version.
Match slides to the agent's purpose. A pricing page agent should have pricing and ROI slides. A product page agent should have feature and demo slides.
Test with Preview. Use the Preview button to see how the agent presents slides before deploying. Ask questions that should trigger slide presentations to verify behavior.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
Deck does not appear in the search results | Ensure the deck is uploaded to Knowledge Sources and its privacy is set to External. |
Agent never shows slides during conversations | Verify the Slides toggle is on. Check that at least one deck is added. Test with Preview using questions related to the deck content. |
Slides appear but are outdated | Re-upload the updated deck to Knowledge Sources, or verify the integration sync is working if the deck comes from Google Drive or SharePoint. |
