Understanding the Knowledge Tab
Last updated: July 28, 2026
The Knowledge tab controls what information and visual content a Marketing Agent can use during conversations.
Use this tab to choose knowledge sources, configure slides, and configure videos for the agent.
Open the Knowledge Tab
Open Marketing Agent Configuration.
Select the agent you want to configure.
Open the Knowledge tab.
The page explains that you can select knowledge sources for your agent and enable visual content like slides and videos for visitor conversations.

Knowledge Tab Sections
Section | Use it for |
|---|---|
Knowledge Base | Add company and product information to improve answer accuracy and relevance. |
Slides | Set up slide content the agent can present during the agent conversations. |
Videos | Select videos the agent can share during conversations. |
Knowledge Base
Use Knowledge Base to choose which sources the agent can use. Click Sources to select the company and product information that should be available to this agent.
Choose sources that match the agent's purpose. For example, a pricing-page agent may need pricing and packaging content, while a technical agent may need implementation or security content.

Slides and Videos
Use Slides and Videos when the agent should share visual content during conversations.
Before enabling visual content, confirm that the content is appropriate for visitor-facing conversations and matches the agent's audience.

Recommended Setup Order
Select the agent's core knowledge sources.
Add slides only when they support the conversation flow and ready to be used by the agent.
Add videos only when you want the agent to use it as needed.
Preview the agent and ask questions that should use the selected content.
Best Practices
Keep each agent's knowledge focused on its job.
Avoid selecting every available source unless the agent truly needs broad coverage.
Review selected sources when the agent's purpose changes.
Test the agent after changing sources, slides, or videos.
