Using 7D, 30D, 90D, and Custom Date Ranges
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Every number on the Marketing Agent Dashboard is scoped to a date range, and the range also decides what the comparison figures on the metric cards are measured against. Set it before you read anything or share a figure.
How do you change the date range on the dashboard?
The range buttons sit at the top right of the dashboard, next to Filter. Click 7D, 30D or 90D for a standard window, or Custom to pick your own dates. The dashboard opens on 7D.
To set a custom window, click Custom, choose a Start date and an End date in the calendar, then click Apply. Cancel closes the picker without changing the current range.
Which range should you choose?
| Range | Use it when |
|---|---|
| 7D | You want a recent pulse after a launch, campaign, or configuration change. |
| 30D | You want a month-level view of traffic and conversion behaviour. |
| 90D | You want a trend, or the agent gets too little traffic for a short window to mean anything. |
| Custom | You need to match a campaign, an experiment, or a reporting period exactly. |
Two habits make the numbers comparable:
- Use the same range when comparing agents, otherwise you are comparing traffic volumes rather than agent performance.
- Avoid judging a low-traffic agent on 7D. A handful of conversations will swing the percentages hard.
What does the date range change on the page?
It changes all of it. The four metric cards recalculate, and the Accounts and Visitors tables reload for the new window.
It also moves the comparison baseline. The percentage and count beneath each card compare the selected range with the period of the same length immediately before it, so switching from 7D to 30D changes both the headline number and what it is being compared against.
Troubleshooting the date range
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| A custom range returns nothing | Confirm the start date comes before the end date, and that the selected agent had activity in that window. |
| Recent activity is missing from the cards | The cards refresh on a delay while the tables update immediately, so check the table first. Applying any filter other than the date range forces the cards to recalculate. See Understanding the Marketing Agent Analytics Dashboard. |
| Two views disagree | Match the agent, the date range, and the filters across both before comparing. |
| A shared figure cannot be reproduced | Share the dashboard URL rather than the number. The range, agent, tab and filters are all carried in the link. |
Frequently asked questions
What is the default date range?
7D. The dashboard opens on the last seven days unless a different range is already in the URL.
Does the date range apply to exports?
Yes. An export contains the rows currently in the table, so it inherits the agent, the date range, and any active filters. Confirm all three before exporting. See Exporting Dashboard Data.
Can I compare two periods side by side?
Not on one screen, but each metric card already carries a built-in comparison against the preceding period of the same length. For any other pairing, read one range, then the other, and keep the agent and filters identical.
Why does a metric card show N/A instead of a percentage?
Because the previous period recorded nothing, so there is no baseline to calculate a percentage from. The absolute change below the card still shows the movement.
Can I send someone a link to a specific date range?
Yes. The selected range is part of the page URL along with the agent, the tab and any filters, so the link reopens exactly what you were looking at.
