Last updated: July 22, 2026

The Persona section controls how your Marketing Agent presents itself in conversations. Use it to set the agent's persona name, optional greeting message, and avatar.

Before You Start

  • You need access to app.docketai.com.

  • You need an existing Marketing Agent.

  • Open the agent from Marketing Agent Configuration.

Open Persona Settings

  1. Open Marketing Agent Configuration.

  2. Select the agent you want to configure.

  3. Open the Agent tab.

  4. In Setup & Manage, open Persona.

Configure the Persona Name

Enter a short persona name in Persona Name. This field is required and shows a 40-character counter, so keep the name concise.

Use a name that fits the agent's job and the visitor experience. For example, a homepage assistant can use a friendly, general name, while a campaign-specific agent can use a name that matches the campaign tone.

Configure the Greeting Message

Use the Greeting Message to define the opening message visitors see from the agent.

If you leave the greeting empty, the agent waits for the visitor to start the conversation. The agent may also customize the greeting based on visitor context.

Keep the greeting specific and action-oriented. It should quickly tell visitors what the agent can help with. The Docket recommendation is to keep the greeting within a one line and simple.

Select an Avatar

Use Avatar to choose the representative image for the agent in customer conversations. Select an avatar that matches the tone of the agent and the page where it will appear.

The avatar should reinforce the visitor experience without distracting from the conversation.

Save Your Changes

After editing the persona, greeting, or avatar, click Save. If you do not want to keep the edits, click Discard.

Verify Persona Changes

  1. Reload the Agent tab and reopen Persona.

  2. Confirm the saved persona name, greeting message, and avatar are still selected.

  3. Click Preview and start a new conversation.

  4. Confirm the preview shows the intended name and avatar and uses the saved greeting behavior.

The configuration is ready when the saved values persist after reload and the preview matches them.

Best Practices

  • Keep the persona name short enough to scan in the widget.

  • Make the greeting match the page intent, such as product education, qualification, or meeting booking.

  • Avoid broad greetings like "How can I help?" when a more specific message would set better expectations.

  • Preview the agent after persona changes to confirm the experience feels consistent.
