Sending Deployment Instructions to a Web Admin
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Use Email to Web Admin when someone else manages the website where the Docket Marketing Agent script needs to be installed.
When to Use This
Use this workflow when you can configure the agent in Docket but do not have access to the website's tag manager, CMS, or source code.
Before You Send
Confirm:
The agent is configured and ready to deploy.
The correct domain is whitelisted.
Widget behavior is set for the intended pages.
The recipient knows where website scripts are managed.
Send the Instructions
Open Marketing Agent Configuration.
Select the agent.
Open the Deploy tab.
Find Add widget to your domain or page.
Use Email to Web Admin.
Add the recipient and any context they need, such as the target domain or pages.
Send the instructions.
What to Tell the Web Admin
Include the target website, preferred install method, and launch timing. If only some pages should show the widget, include the relevant paths and confirm whether Docket page targeting is already configured.
Verify the Handoff
Confirm Docket displays Instructions sent to email after submission.
Ask the recipient to confirm the deployment email arrived.
Compare the script or standalone instructions in the email with the current values in the agent's Deploy tab.
Have the web administrator validate the installation in a test environment before production.
Troubleshooting the Email Handoff
Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
Send button is disabled | Enter a non-empty email address. |
Docket reports a send failure | Confirm the agent is still available, then retry from the current Deploy tab. |
Recipient did not receive the email | Verify the address and ask the recipient to check filtered or quarantined mail. |
Instructions contain an old script | Reopen the current agent and send the instructions again. |
